We are searching for the best “all-around” nanny based on experience, dedication, creativity, professionalism, organization, a heart for servicce, and an engaging, warm personality. The goal of the Austin Supernanny contest is to raise the awareness within the community about the nanny profession and to shine a light on these seldom recognized heroes. The Supernanny will be awarded an annual membership to the International Nanny Association ($85 value) along with valuable prizes provided by local vendors.
Please include the following items in your application:
- A completed application
- Letters of recommendation (optional)
- EITHER of the following methods to describe why you are the best “all-around” nanny:
- A video essay under 3 minutes long
- A 500-1000 word (1-2 pages typed) essay along with a photo of yourself (any finalists who submit their applications using this method will be filmed when completing the in-person interview)
Contest timeline:
- Tuesday, September 11: Begin accepting applications

Tuesday, October 2:DEADLINE EXTENDED TO FRIDAY, OCTOBER 5!! Application deadline
- Monday, October 8 – Friday, October 12: Top 5 Finalist Interviews
- Thursday, October 25: Winner announced at the Annual Nanny Recognition Week Celebration
The top five finalists will complete in-person interviews, and reference checks and background checks will be performed before a winner is named.
