Dallas Nanny Hiring Process

(How do I get a nanny?)

  • Client Application: You will Nanny Feeding Babycomplete a Client Application which provides us with the details of your family and your unique requirements.
  • Client Agreement and Membership Fee: We will call to clarify your job description and answer any additional questions you or we may have. To begin the search, a Membership Fee is due and a Client Agreement must be signed. This contract outlines all fees, policies, and our extensive background check process.
  • Receive Nanny Profiles: We will start sending you nannies that match your criteria. Each profile will give you information on the nanny's employment history, experience, education, and much more. We will be sending you a select number of nannies, as we have significantly narrowed down the caregivers through our rigorous screening process. This ensures that you will only see qualified, high caliber nannies, saving you as much time as possible in your search.
  • Interview Nannies: You will then begin interviewing nannies. Please provide us with feedback on each nanny, so that we may continue to tailor our search to meet your needs.
  • Trial Time: Nanny washing handsAfter interviewing, you will bring one or two of the candidates back for "trial days", to observe them in action as part of a working interview. The nanny(ies) will be paid according to the rates outlined on the pricing page.
  • Extend an Offer: After a choice has been made, please notify Mom's Best Friend that you would like to extend an offer to a nanny. Please remember to always speak in terms of "gross pay" not "take home" or "net pay" when negotiating salary.
  • Employment Agreement: Once your nanny accepts your offer, you will fill in an Employment Agreement provided by Mom's Best Friend. This is a detailed document which allows both you and your nanny to be very clear and specific about the duties, compensation, and terms of employment. You should also contact the Payroll Processing Manager at Breedlove and Associates at 1-888-BREEDLOVE for information about your tax obligations as a household employer and/or to set up your candidate's payroll.
  • Referral Fee: The Referral Fee is due after an offer has been extended and accepted. This fee covers our extensive screening, including a thorough application, in-person interviews, reference checks, and an extensive background check (both initial and ongoing for the life of the placement). The fee is payable by check or any major credit card, for the referral of your nanny. We must have a copy of the Employment Agreement signed by both parties (you and your caregiver) before your nanny's start date.
  • Nanny Cooking with ChildOngoing Support: MBF is available to meet any of your needs both before and after you hire a nanny through our service. Please feel free to call us if you need ongoing support, advice, or forms (for monthly one-on-ones, reviews, and more). We also have a sitter service should your employee be sick, on vacation, or otherwise unable to fulfill an assignment for you. Please inquire further about our sitter services if interested, so we can provide you with details in regard to services, rates, and fees. These services are also available for date nights, weekends, and any time where your regular nanny may not be available.
  • Feedback: Please complete the agency and nanny evaluations after your placement, as well as the online Placement Feedback Form.
